Preschool Thanksgiving

Last November, Trotwood's preschool had a Thanksgiving meal for the kids. Since his preschool is conveniently just down the street from my work, I took off an hour in the morning to celebrate with him.

I am experimenting with a new style of scrapbooking this month that uses lots of clusters. I like the way this layout turned out but I'm still not sure this style it's me. Either way, it's fun to try new techniques and styles. Click here for credits.

For anyone who might need a reminder that we are not on our own.

PL: Week 3

I was working on this last week and my husband looked over my shoulder and said, "You're a little behind, aren't you?" Yes, in fact, I'm way behind as it will be MARCH this week and I'm still working on my January scrapbook pages. If I didn't love doing project life so much, I'd probably quit, but I just love creating and then going back and looking at what our family did from week to week. Even though we have our boring weeks (like Week 4, I am scrounging for information and I didn't take very many photos either), it's still fun to try and keep up with our crazy, busy life!

Hero Up!

I created this layout several months ago and submitted it to Creating Keepsakes magazine for publication consideration. It was accepted for publication so I wasn't able to post it anywhere online until now. It's one of my very favorite layouts to date because it just describes my little boy's superhero affinity so well, not to mention the title of the layout makes me think of how he watches that Superhero Squad show.

Check out page 36 in the March/April issues of CK to see it in the magazine!

Valentine's Day Treat Bag

Today, I created a tutorial to make these hybrid Valentine's Day Card/Treat Bags. Head on over to Deena Rutter's blog to find out all about them.

I made two cards just for fun! These are hybrid projects - I used digital paper files and then printed those out to assemble these cards. For the first one I used the Truly kits by Deena Rutter. And the second one uses Robyn Meierotto's Hugs & Kisses kit.
