One Kit, Many Ways layout

Wahoo! As a DHD Decorator, I participated in a One Kit, Many Ways event using Shannon Hegarty's new Zoey Collection and a template by Tiffany Tillman. This has been the first time one of my layouts has been shown as one of the featured layouts on the DHD website (you have to scroll down to see mine). Since this page is also for Trotwood's one year book, I made a second page to go with it. You can see them below.

BIRTHday layout

Here's another layout I did from pictures of the day Trotwood was born.

I'm sure someday he'll be thoroughly embarrassed that I posted a picture of his brand new baby bum on the internet.

If you're at all interested in doing any digital scrapbooking, almost everything I used on this page was free. Here's a list of my supplies:
Template: Jen Martakis, SimpleStarts No.1 free template available here
Patterned Paper: Twelve by Twelve Designs, Bloom, Free kit available here
Stamped font: Karla Dudley’s Digi Essentials 5 brushes, available for purchase at Design House Digital)
Button: Ronna Penner, Express Yourself Kit, free kit available here. This website has a ton of free digital kits you can download and play with and so does Two Peas in a Bucket.

Trotwood at one month layout

My goal for this year was/is to complete Trotwood's 1 year scrapbook, which I am doing entirely digitally. It has been a fun project and is far from finished, but I still have 2 months left, right? Doing everything digitally has made finding time to scrapbook so much easier since I don't have to get out all of my supplies. Don't get me wrong, I still have a love for paper (yes, Joy, I'll admit it, I love paper!), chipboard, rub-ons, stickers, glue and all traditional scrapbooking methods, going digital has just simplified everything since I keep it all on my external hard drive! Anyway, here's my latest layout of Trotwood. I took these pictures of Trotwood and Mr. Rochester when Trotwood was only about a month old. They are some of my favorite pictures because of the lighting and I can just feel the emotion in them. I may even get a a little misty-eyed looking at them because my little boy has grown up so much since then. Enjoy the layout!

DHD Decorator!

I should have already blogged about this, but as you may have noticed, I've been a bit behind on blogging. I'm so excited, I was recently chosen to be a Decorator for my absolute favorite digital scrapbooking website, Design House Digital! I couldn't believe that I'd been selected and I am just so excited and honored to be a part of such a fun, talented group of women. What this basically means is that I get to design scrapbook layouts using DHD designs at no cost to me and have a chance to host fun activities like monthly challenges, 1Kit4Ways, 4Play and speed scraps! If you're into hybrid or digital scrapbooking at all, come on over and check it out! I plan on posting some of the layouts I do for the DHD website on this blog, so be on the lookout for more pictures and posts!
