Not just a rocker

I wish I didn't covet this...

*sigh* Of course, it's ridiculously expensive at the Pottery Barn. But, I just love it - it reclines, glides, swivels, and rocks! (It's literally a rocker, but it also rocks!) Anyone know where I can get a much cheaper replica? The recliner we have right now makes some atrocious noises when you rock in it but it works for now...although it doesn't swivel...or glide...or rock when it is in the reclining position.

Trust me. With a rocker you want to spend the money. I haven't bought one yet, I am saving for our next child, but my friend seriously tested out every rocker on the market and said that the cheaper replicas don't hold up and aren't nearly as comfortable. She has one just like the one in the picture that she says was worth every penny of the $500 they spent.

Sorry, I know this isn't real helpful, but sometimes I have found splurging for quality is the best thing to do.

Good luck with your hunt.

I love that rocker. I don't even have one I just have to close my eyse and rock myself and pretend I have one. So sad!

My mom got me one that looks very similar to that from Costco.com. I think it was around $500. It doesn't recline but it rocks, swivels, and I can comfortable lay my head back (and fall asleep, if need be). I love it!

I, too, wanted that rocker. Instead I opted for a cheap one from Kmart and we've been pretty happy with it. The fabric isn't nearly as nice, I'm sure, and it only rocks. But it's fine. Some days, though, I still dream of the PB one. Ah...
