Not just a rocker

I wish I didn't covet this...

*sigh* Of course, it's ridiculously expensive at the Pottery Barn. But, I just love it - it reclines, glides, swivels, and rocks! (It's literally a rocker, but it also rocks!) Anyone know where I can get a much cheaper replica? The recliner we have right now makes some atrocious noises when you rock in it but it works for now...although it doesn't swivel...or glide...or rock when it is in the reclining position.

Open doors

At our old rental house, we only "baby-proofed" the living room area and that is where Trotwood usually would play. The kitchen was gated off and we closed all the doors to the other bedrooms. Well, whenever Trotwood noticed that a door happened to be left open he would put his crawl into warp speed and laughed this almost maniacal laugh as he hurried to get inside the door before we could shut it. We caught this on tape just for your viewing pleasure. video
{P.S. I plan on baby-proofing our entire new house as much as I can so he has more freedom to explore.}

Well, we moved over Memorial Day weekend but we're still working on moving IN. Here's some pictures of the moving mess.
Despite the mess, we are so glad to be in our very own house and we absolutely love it! [I'll post some pictures of the actual house in a few days.] Of course, there are a million things we'd like to do to the house, like paint and scrape off the popcorn ceilings but that will all happen in good time. For the time being we'll make do with bad paint jobs and curtains that don't particularly match so Mr. Rochester can get moved into his office and finish that thesis!

Don't worry, we remembered to pack this kid. I've been meaning to send out an email with our new address so I need to get on that.
