I am definitely late in posting this but I'm going to post it anyway. Trotwood was asked to be Baby Jesus in our church's Christmas program. Mr. Rochester played the part of Joseph (with his beard and glasses) and I was Mary. While our costumes may be less than authentic (Jews probably wouldn't have worn a kafiya but I supplied that since I bought it IN Jerusalem no less than 10 years ago!), we enjoyed being a part of the nativity scene. Trotwood was a sweet little baby Jesus and was on his best behavior! My cousin who is living in Algeria sent us the cute Berber outfit Trotwood is wearing.

That's pretty awesome, what an honor! And it's fun that you have stuff from the Middle East to make it extra authentic.
